Several Victims Injured in 2-Car Collision near Kyrene Road

TEMPE, AZ (February 2, 2022) – At least six people sustained injuries in a two-vehicle crash on Baseline Road, early Friday morning.

Per reports, the driver of a vehicle was traveling on Kyrene Road when they ran a red light at Baseline road for reasons unknown.

As a result, the vehicle struck a parked pickup-truck next to a gas pump.

Consequently, five people in the car along with the driver of the pick-up truck were transported to the hospital with various injuries, some life-threatening.

Following preliminary investigations, officers believed that speed was a factor in the collision. Baseline Road between Kyrene Road and Hardy Drive was locked down in both directions for further investigations.
