Traffic Collision on Cypress Street Left Several Hurt

COVINA, CA (June 15, 2022) – Sunday morning, a head-on crash on Barranca Avenue left six people with injuries, police said.

According to initial reports, the accident occurred at the intersection of Barranca Avenue and Cypress Street around 1:30 a.m.

Furthermore, police said two vehicles collided head-on at the intersection for reasons currently unknown.

Eventually, medical responders arrived at the scene and transported four victims to LA County/USC Medical Center.

In addition, paramedics brought two additional people to Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center for further medical treatment. Authorities claimed that three of the injured victims were children ages 3 to 4.

Moreover, both directions of the roadway were temporarily shutdown to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties. Covina officials have not released any additional information about the accident at this time.

An active investigation into the head-on crash on Barranca Avenue is currently underway at this time.
