Singer Katy Perry and partner Morgan McLachlan introduced their nonalcoholic aperitif line, De Soi, at a rooftop pool party at the swanky new Hollywood wellness community Heimat Los Angeles last week.

The French inspired De Soi (de-swa) nonalcoholic, low-calorie aperitifs contain natural adaptogens and no refined sugar. The fizzy lifting drinks come in three flavors:

  • Golden Hour – A bright and zesty concoction made with maca and L-theanine derived from green tea that spurs creativity, with notes of warm citrus, lemongrass, and leafy herbs
  • Purple Lune – A rich and delicate elixir made with ashwagandha and tart cherry to bring balance to the body, with notes of blackberry nectar, vanilla oak, and rose petals
  • Champignon Dreams – A juicy and balanced pour made with reishi mushroom and passionflower that eases you into the evening, with notes of sticky summer strawberries, bitter grapefruit, and earth

“De Soi is French and stands for pleasure with restraint,” Perry told the crowd, as canapes from Michael Mina’s Mother Tongue were passed. “If you’re a matriarch, like so many of us are, it’s a delicate balance juggling all the spinning plates. It’s nice to have an alternative every once in a while, especially Monday through Thursday, that can still give us a sensual, elegant, sophisticated, sometimes complex, experience. It’s wonderful to have everyone here, exploring this brand-new category that we’re at the forefront of and happy to expand further.”

“De Soi came about during the pandemic,” McLachlan chimed in. “Katy and I were both pregnant, and it was a stressful, intense time. We happened to find ourselves in similar life phases. With De Soi, we want to be uplifting. We want people to feel good with sensual, sensory pleasures, like having a little glass of something that’s delicious after work, on the weekend, or celebrating with your friends. We hope to make people’s lives a little better in a way that tastes good and is better for you.”
