21-Year-Old Woman Dies in Crash near Chicken Ranch Road

SONORA, CA (February 17, 2022) – Monday morning, Sienna Nulph died after a two-vehicle crash on State Route 49, authorities said.

According to California Highway Patrol, the occurred just before 6:45 a.m. on February 14th, around north of Chicken Ranch Road.

CHP said at the time, 47-year-old Michelle Robles was driving a Volkswagen Jetta on southbound Highway 49 at about 50 to 55 mph.

21-year-old Nulph had entered the highway driving a 2003 Ford Mustang from Chicken Ranch Road, directly in the path of Robles.

As a result, the front of the Jetta crashed into the driver’s side of the Mustang.

Despite being taken to the hospital for medical treatment, Nulph was later pronounced dead.

Meanwhile, Robles also got sent to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Based on initial investigation, alcohol or drugs do not appear to be factors in the crash.
