Millie Brown is a British performance artist who likes to push society's buttons with actions normally deemed as base and crude.

But she does it all within the setting of an elite and high brow environment, which gives it a justification of depth. According to RART ORDER she dropped out of school at 17 in order to join an art troupe and has been finding beauty in the socially unacceptable ever since.

Over the last four years, she's garnered massive amounts of media attention for her vomit paintings, which culminated when she puked on Lady Gaga for one of the singer's video interludes.

“She liked it, too,” Brown said.

However, at her most recent exhibit at Illoulian Contemporary, Mille has given her stomach and gag reflex a break in order to focus on her directorial debut, Celestial Bodies.

The short film features various scenes shot with an old school security camera, one scene in particular inspiring the audience to stand in awe as a topless woman wearing a golden strap-on dildo received a blow job from a man. It was erotic in a Holy Mountain-esque surreal way, as opposed to straight-up pornographic. You're not witnessing any real sex occur, per se, but rather are explosed to an unconventionally strange gender reversal role-play.

It was hard to look away as other similarly uncomfortable scenes came onscreen, including nuns caressing each other with soft white beads and painted nudists bathing in sand. There was obviously a rich history being presented of ancient symbolisms and mythology in the work, which Millie Brown blended in with her provocateur aesthetic.
