Newark Four-Vehicle Crash Leaves One Fatality

NEWARK, CA (January 3, 2022) – A deadly multi-vehicle crash on I-880 claimed the life of Sheryl Usher last Wednesday.

According to the report, the Usher’s vehicle was involved in a collision along southbound I-880.

Furthermore, the CHP said that a Honda Civic struck her Subaru Forester just north of Stevenson Boulevard.

As a result, the Subaru swerved to the right where it hit a Lexus SUV. The Subaru then veered into the far left lane, getting hit by a van, killing the woman,

Later on, the Alameda County Coroner’s Office identified the deceased Subaru driver as 56-year-old Sheryl Usher of Ojai.

Meanwhile, her unidentified passenger suffered from significant injuries.

At this time, Newark Officials are working to identify the circumstances surrounding the I-880 multi-vehicle crash.
