26-Year-Old Shelton Driver Hospitalized after Car Collision on State Route 3

MASON COUNTY, WA (August 27, 2021) A 26-year-old Shelton man was airlifted to a Seattle hospital after a car collision on State Route 3 Tuesday morning.

The accident happened around 6:10 a.m. on Tuesday, August 24, on State Route 3 near Agate Road.

According to the Washington State Patrol, a 26-year-old man was driving on Agate Road near SR 3 when he failed to yield to a left turn and was hit by a northbound vehicle.

According to troopers, the Shelton man and woman in their 40s in the northbound vehicle were not injured.

Meanwhile, medics rushed the 26-year-old Shelton driver to Harborview Medical Center with unspecified injuries.

A this time, authorities did not released the identities of the parties involved.

Additionally, the exact cause and circumstances leading up to the crash are being investigated.
