85-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Car Collision near Kickapoo Road

WALLER, TX (January 12, 2024) Shelley Buttram was arrested Friday night after a fatal auto accident on Hempstead Road.

At approximately 11:08 p.m. near the intersection of Kickapoo and Kermier Road, an incident unfolded. Behind the wheel of a Mazda Miata, accompanied by her father as a passenger, Buttram made an unsafe left turn, leading to a collision with a BMW.

Paramedics later pronounced Buttram’s 85-year-old father dead on their way to the hospital. Following initial procedures, Buttram faces charges of intoxication and manslaughter, with her bond set at $50,000.00.
