Organized by Ewa Wojciak from the USC Roski School of Fine Arts, Shelf Life 2 is “a one-of-a-kind, historically charged event that brings together influential independent publishers, writers, artists, designers and others whose voices and images have questioned and pushed the limits of popular culture. There will be dynamic speaker presentations with renowned writer Byron Coley, artist Gary Panter, and designer Chip Kidd. Additionally, Shelf Life 2 will host a series of hands-on workshops in zine publishing, e-publications, silkscreening, and blogging with Beautiful/Decay, Slake Magazine, Modern Multiples, and Root Simple. There will also be a Bazaar with over 50 participants ranging from MOCA to local bookstores such as Skylight, Stories, and local small press and zine publishers selling their one-of-a-kind goods.” At Harris Hall and Watt Hall.
