Collision on 39th Avenue and Camelback Road Kills Shawn Stokes and Diana Fletes

PHOENIX, AZ (November 3, 2021)A collision between a motorcycle and car has claimed the lives of Shawn Stokes and Diana Fletes, Saturday evening.

Around 9:15 p.m., police said 30-year-old motorcyclist Shawn Stokes crashed into a vehicle occupied by two adult females and a teenager.

Stokes died at the scene along with Fletes, 46, who was inside the vehicle.

The other two vehicle passengers suffered minor injuries.

Authorities said the speed of the motorcycle was likely a factor in the crash.

Camelback Road was shut down between 39th and 43rd Avenues due to the investigation.
