45-Year-Old Victim Killed in Pedestrian Collision near Spring Street
LONG BEACH, CA (October 20, 2022) – 45-year-old Shawn Mayberry lost his life Tuesday night, in a pedestrian accident on Studebaker Road.
Authorities responded to the scene around 11:55 p.m., near Spring Street on October 11th.
Reports stated that a pedestrian was lying on the roadway, outside a marked crosswalk, when an oncoming 2007 Honda Civic struck him.
First responders arrived and declared the pedestrian dead at the scene. Police later identified the victim as Hemet resident Shawn Mayberry.
Meanwhile, the driver, a resident of Long Beach, remained and cooperated with the authorities.
At this time, it is unknown whether speed, drugs, or alcohol played a role in the crash. However, an active investigation is still underway.
