27-Year-Old Man Fatally Struck by Big-Rig near Hatch Road
CERES, CA (September 19, 2022) – Saturday, Shaun Neuman was killed and William Hutton was involved in a pedestrian crash on Highway 99.
Police responded to the scene around 4:15 p.m., near Hatch Road on September 10th.
According to reports, 73-year-old Hutton was driving a 2018 Freightliner big-rig on the highway. Investigators said that Neuman was standing on the right shoulder of the road before running into the lanes. There he was struck by the right front of the semi-truck, which left him with serious injuries.
First responders arrived at the site of the crash shortly after and pronounced 27-year-old Neuman, of Ceres dead at the scene. Meanwhile, Hutton and his passenger were not injured. Both occupants stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
At this time, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway.
