Motorcycle Accident in Trinity River Area Left Woman Dead

TRINITY COUNTY, CA (September 8, 2022) – Monday morning, a motorcycle crash on Highway 299 claimed the life of Sharon Diane Thacker.

The fatal accident occurred around 11:45 a.m., in the Trinity River area.

According to the investigators, Thacker was traveling on a Honda Shadow Spirit motorcycle at around 40 MPH. The motorcyclist somehow lost control and hit a guardrail. The impact of the crash ejected the rider and she  continued down an embankment where she came to rest against multiple trees.

Emergency crews arrived at the site of the accident shortly afterward. Responding officials then declared 68-year-old Sharon Diane Thacker from Redding dead at the scene.
