The holiday parties have started and Shaman Durek, a spiritual guide and gifted healer to the stars, and his family celebrated a magical Halloween in his beautiful Beverly Hills hilltop home with about 120 close friends and family. The theme of the party was “The Coven” and it didn’t disappoint. Shaman Durek honored his lineage by bringing elements of his Haitian heritage to the party. When you walked in you were greeted by the enchanting drums played by musicians dressed as tribesmen. The music elevated your spirits to prepare you for a night of fun and bewitchment.

As you enter the party, the decoration, lights and atmosphere took you to another world. Everything was lit up in colors of purple, gold and red. Guests danced the night away to music by DJ and violinist Hemingway and enjoyed spooky food and desserts in the Halloween spirit. A special artistic dance performance and music by Haitian dancers from the EL WAH Movement honoring Shaman’s Haitian ancestors brought the party to life and partygoers joined in the fun. Guests were also treated to fortune-telling, tarot card reading and magic to add to the wizardry of the night.

Shaman Durek was joined by actor friends Kevin Kreider of the Netflix show Bling Empire, Matthew Dennis Lewis of Netflix’s show The Queen’s Gambit, Lamorne Morris of Fox’s sitcom New Girl, Chord Overstreet of Fox’s show Glee, Camelia Somers of CBS’s The Bold and The Beautiful, Glen Powell of Top Gun, Elite model Gigi Paris, singer and songwriter Leslie Powell, Flashbacks radio and TV personality Jessica Hall and husband Kyle Carlson, Knekt.TV producer Kent Speakman, Casey Deidrick of CW’s In The Dark, Kendra Wilkinson of Kendra Sells Hollywood, Soleil Moon Frye of NBC’s Punky Brewster, Jimmy Akingbola of British series Kate & Koji, celeb producer and artist Wendy Starland, and the FBI negotiator Chris Voss.

Shaman Durek shares, “I wanted to bring something different to L.A. My roots are from Haiti and Ghana, and my intention was to not only bring a celebration of Halloween with pumpkins and trick-or-treating but also something of honor and appreciation. It was important for me to create something that represented honoring our ancestor’s lineage and celebrating their existence. I invited Haitian dancers to share the dance ceremonies that are represented in Haiti because many people don’t recognize the beauty of other cultures, especially this one. The artistry and expression that everyone felt from the EL WAH Movement were palpable and memorable. I’m delighted that my guests could experience the culture, the community, and the celebration all in one.”
