If you're going to put on a St. Patrick's Day event, please spell its nickname correctly: As any good drunk will tell you, it's St. “Paddy's” Day, not “Patty's.” Shame on the organizers of the L.A. St. Patrick's Day Festival for their misnamed website, but we'll forgive them for bringing in live Irish music, folk dancing, sing-alongs, not to mention all the cheese, sausage and alcohol you can ply yourself with, all in the name of whatever the hell St. Patrick's Day is all about. Held at an Armenian church on Vine, it may not exactly be “the one place on earth that heaven has kissed with melody, mirth and meadow and mist,” but it'll have to do.
