L.A. Weekly is seeking new contributors who are willing to write on the wild side. Our NSFW blog is recruiting freelancers of all stripes: essayists who can write about their own experiences, reporters who know how to track down the experts and punchy stylists who don't mind riffing about sex, even if they're not necessarily getting any.

If that sounds like you — and if you're willing to learn how to use our blogging software in a free L.A. Weekly tutorial — we want to hear from you.

A few words about what we're looking for. We want racy, not raunchy; witty, not stupid. We want clean writing. And there's no point in reaching out to us unless you're comfortable with alternative media topics including sex, health, modern relationships and taboo pop culture issues. Save your hang-ups for those blogs that are safe for work.

If we haven't scared you off, please send an email telling us a bit about yourself, plus three samples of recent work, to pitches@laweekly.com. If you have any questions, you can email those, too — we're ready for them!
