Adult fans celebrated International Sailor Moon Day on Friday, Aug. 4, at the cosplay club night Legend of the Moon, organized by fashion designer and former Project Runway contestant Carrie Sleutskaya. The evening at Union nightclub included performances by the hip-hop Corps Dance Crew, Sailor Moon–themed burlesque with Lola Chan, Miss Onyx Von Duren and Gwen Ruby. DJ Xian Vox kept the crowds dancing during the cosplay contest judged by Sleutskaya, designer JoEllen Elam of the label Firefly Path and Kristen “Space Invader” Carr.
