A sexual predator is on the loose in an Eastside park, police warned today.

Cops say the creep has targeted “lone females” walking in Ernest E. Debs Regional Park three times between January and July. He has groped, exposed himself and even attacked with a knife, the Los Angeles Police Department said in a statement today.

The first report about the suspect dates to Jan. 13:

On that day a man on a bicycle approached a female in the Montecito Heights park at 4235 Monterey Rd. and groped her, the department said.

Then this happened on June 25, according to the statement:

… a second female victim was approached by a male Hispanic on a green bicycle. The suspect asked the victim to borrow her cell phone. Once in close proximity, the suspect exposed his genitals to the victim.

Finally, on July 20, a female was walking her dog in the park when a man with a knife grabbed her shoulder and punched her in the face, cops said.

She went down, and he stood over her for “a couple of seconds” before running away, police said.

The creep is described as a Latino man in his early 20s, 5 feet 7 or so, 150 pounds, with a light complexion and short, dark hair. An artist's sketch of the suspect is featured above.

He spoke Spanish and “did not appear to be homeless,” the LAPD said.
