Here’s a sweet surprise for those of us who are counting down the days to the long-awaited sequel to the original 1988 comedy, Coming 2 America, starring Eddie Murphy. The film will be available for audiences around the world to stream on Prime Video beginning March 5.  

In the meantime, to celebrate the return of Randy Watson and his band Sexual Chocolate in the sequel, Prime Video will hold a chocolate giveaway for Valentine’s Day that will be taking place on Twitter. 

 The giveaway will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on February 13 and 14, or until all prizes are claimed. Enter by tweeting #Coming2America and #Giveaway. A link to a microsite will be sent where you will enter your delivery details. Good news for valley vegans – a new Sugar Taco has opened in Sherman Oaks on Ventura Blvd. The plant-based, women-owned Mexican restaurant opened its flagship location on Melrose in 2019. Today is Thirsty Thursday, with an all-day happy hour featuring $3 beers and $5.95 margaritas.

Founded by local resident and master chocolatier trained in Belgium, Romeo Garcias, the candy shop has served the Long Beach community with its flagship store on Pine Ave. since 2014.
