One of L.A.'s most controversial and fabulously outrageous clubs, Sex Cells, celebrated its first anniversary on Friday, Jan. 26. Sex Cells partnered this time around with Goldenvoice and El Rey Theatre to bring some much-needed decadence and debauchery to L.A.'s nightlife scene.
Sex Cells is always packed with special guests and surprises, and the one-year celebration was no exception. An intense performance by Joe Cardamone opened the evening's festivities, followed by Shannon F performing Light Asylum favorites, Douglas McCarthy offering up Nitzer Ebb classics with Shannon joining in on the chant, and a very special guest DJ set by Daniel Ash and Kevin Haskins of Bauhaus to close out the night. Resident DJs Matthew Pernicano and Danny Lethal were spinning gold throughout the night as always.
