Multiple Teenagers Hospitalized after Multi-Vehicle Collision on Union Hills Drive

PHOENIX, AZ (September 30, 2021) – Early Thursday morning, several teenagers were injured in a 3-car crash on 12th Street.

The crash happened around 7:30 a.m., near the intersection of 12th Street and Union Hills Drive. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after.

According to reports, Phoenix police located three cars upon arrival. Investigators say a silver car was heading north on 12th Street when the driver attempted to make a U-turn onto Union Hills.

There, the silver car collided with a black car while making a wide turn. After the initial impact, a third vehicle was also struck.

Authorities responded and extricated one teen from his car. He was later taken to a local hospital for further treatment of unknown injuries.

In addition, two other teen girls were hospitalized in stable condition. A fourth person suffered serious but non life-threatening injuries.

At this time, it is still unclear what led to the multi-vehicle accident. Once available, more information regarding the 3-car crash on 12th Street will be released.
