Traffic Accident near Kelly Road Left Several Hurt

NAPA, CA (March 23, 2022) – On Tuesday, a multi-vehicle collision on Highway 12 left several people injured, police said.

At around 11:40 a.m., the rollover crash on State Highway 12 west of Kelly Road involved three vehicles that blocked the highway.

Furthermore, a Dodge Journey driven by a Vallejo man, was traveling northbound on South Kelly Road approaching State Route 12.

Consequently, a 26-year-old Fairfield man driving a 2020 Ford F150 in the fast lane, and a 78-year-old Oakland man was driving a 2020 Audi TT in the No. 2 lane alongside the F150.

Moreover, this crash occurred when a Dodge driver ran a red light and went directly into the path of the F150 and the Audi.

The collision caused the Dodge to flip into a parking lot at the northwest corner of the intersection.

The AMR Ambulance transported the driver to Queen of the Valley Medical Center for treatment of unspecified injuries, while the passenger in the Audi sustained minor injuries.

Both directions of the roadway were temporarily closed down to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.

However, the multi-vehicle collision is now under active investigation.
