Vehicle Collision near Black Bart Drive Left Several Hurt

WILLITS, CA (February 24, 2022) – A fiery collision on Highway 101 left at least two people injured Wednesday night, authorities said.

The crash happened around 6:00 p.m. along Highway 101, on mile marker 41 near Black Bart Drive.

Furthermore, according to reports, two cars collided resulting in one vehicle to become engulfed in flames. Following the initial collision, a semi-truck crashed into one of the vehicles.

Moreover, responding medics arrived and located one person trapped inside one the vehicles with major injuries. A second victim was found walking wounded, medics took both victims to a local hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, the crash blocked off the southbound lanes for several hours to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.

Willits police did not release any additional information at this time but will release updates once available.
