At Least One Person Injured after Pursuit Crash near 210 Freeway

PASADENA, CA (November 9, 2022) – Saturday afternoon, a pursuit crash on Lake Street near 210 Freeway left several people injured.

The incident started around 4:00 p.m. when authorities attempted to stop a vehicle that reportedly violated traffic code. The involved vehicle fled causing a police pursuit.

A helicopter then started following the vehicle, and officers called off ground pursuit. The suspects then collided with two vehicles on the eastbound freeway near the Sierra Madre Boulevard. The impact of the collision left several people injured.

Authorities eventually arrested the driver on suspicion of grand theft auto, a drug offense, and an outstanding warrant. One passenger was detained on an outstanding warrant, while another was interrogated and released.

Meanwhile, paramedics on the scene treated at least one person for injuries.
