23-Year-Old Servando Tiburcio Killed Car Crash on Turtle Rock Road

WENATCHEE, WA (December 27, 2021) – 23-year-old Servando Tiburcio died and 2 others injured Monday after a car collision on Turtle Rock Road.

The incident took place around 9:39 a.m., December 20th, on Highway 2 near Turtle Rock Road.

According to the Washington State Patrol, a westbound Honda Accord lost control and spun into the oncoming lane, where a Ford Escape rear-ended them.

Responding officers pronounced Tiburcio, a passenger in the Accord, dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, medics took the driver, Carmelo Chavez Tolentino, 39, of Orondo to Central Washington Hospital with injuries.

Medics also took the driver of the Escape, Thad Duvall, 68, to the hospital with undisclosed injuries.

Authorities later stated Duvall is the Douglas County auditor. Police eventually cited Tolentino for driving too fast for conditions and not having a valid driver’s license.

At this time, officials have no further information of the crash. However, an active investigation is underway.
