27-Year-Old Man Killed in Vehicle Collision near US 60

PHOENIX, AZ (March 14, 2022) – On Wednesday, a head-on crash on Interstate 10 claimed the life of Sergio Gutierrez-Vasquez, authorities said.

Officials stated the wrong-way crash happened around 3:20 a.m. in the left lanes of westbound Interstate 10, near the US-60 transition.

Furthermore, the crash involved a semi-truck and a Jeep Renegade.

Moreover, as a result of the crash, the semi-truck occupants did not sustain any injuries.

However, the wrong-way driver of the Jeep Renegade, identified as 27-year-old Vasquez, died at the scene.
