Here's your chance to see a doctor or dentist today and get some serious healthcare for free.

We're talking a promised menu of crowns, root canals, tooth extractions, hysterectomies, gallbladder removals, pediatrics, vaccinations, gynecologic procedures, echocardiograms and more.

There is, of course, a catch.

If past events of this nature are indicators, you'll have to wait in line. Forever. But it could be worth it if you have more time than money.

Your Best Pathway to Health “Free Mega Clinic” starts today and runs through Friday at the Los Angeles Convention Center downtown.

It's first come, first served, and they're not even telling us exactly when it starts. (We assume people are lining up already.)

The idea, organizers say, is to get doctors and dentists to volunteer their time (there will also be attorneys dishing out free legal advice). The goal is to serve up $30 million to $40 million worth of medical care to the uninsured and underinsured, they said.

“Over the last two years, we have provided these free services to San Francisco, Oakland, San Antonio and Spokane residents,” said Lela Lewis, CEO of Your Best Pathway to Health. “We hope to be able to service even more than 12,000 patients” in L.A., she said.

May good health be with you.
