Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the water teeming with millions of dying sardines: Lovely and talented actress Mary Steenburgen talks to her actor husband, Ted Danson, about his new book, Oceana: Our Endangered Oceans and What We Can Do to Save Them (Rodale, $32.50). Danson's focus, when he's not starring on Bored to Death, is serving on the board of Oceana, the environmental concern formed in 2001 that's currently the largest international organization focused solely on the conservation of the oceans. During the discussion, expect unending-but-thoughtful invective about the Deepwater Horizon oil spill, “climate change” vs. “global warming,” and the ongoing controversy over the global impact of Sea Monkeys carelessly introduced into the ecosystem. A book signing follows the conservation conversation.
