Fatal Plane Crash in Napa County near Berryessa Estates

NAPA COUNTY, CA (July 28, 2022) – Sunday morning, a plane crash near Berryessa Estates claimed the lives of Scott Killian and Dreyson Hicks.

The accident happened on July 17th, around 8:30 a.m.

According to reports, Killian was piloting a plane near the Berryessa Estates when, for reasons currently unknown, the plane crashed.

The impact of the collision caused a vegetation fire that burned 1-2 acres before being contained.

Cal Fire responded to the scene shortly after the crash and discovered two people inside the plane. The victims, 61-year-old Killian of Roseville and 22-year-old Hicks of Rocklin, were pronounced dead at the scene.

At this time, no further details about the crash are available to the public. However, more information will be released once it becomes available.

Meanwhile, the National Transportation Safety Board and Federal Aviation Administration have taken over investigating the cause of the fire and will release further updates once available.
