Bid adieu to the big top–themed Circus Disco all this month, starting with Saturday’s BackToDisco, a night of looking back, moving forward and celebrating life on the dance floor.

Sadly for L.A. nightlife, Circus is set to close for good in January, clearing the way for just what Hollywood doesn’t need: more condos! But Gene La Pietra’s club, a former ice factory, leaves behind many memories of nights that ran the gamut, from gay and Latin to fetish and techno to everything in between.

This night, billed as the club’s final disco party, should be no exception, right down to the moment they play Donna Summer’s “Last Dance” — ’cause you know they will. Souvenir whistles and silver beach balls go to the first 1,000 people, so get there early. Patrons are asked to contribute their old photos for a farewell slideshow presentation via the event’s Facebook invite page.
