Latin Food Fest was a diverse celebration of Latin food, music and spirits at the Los Angeles State Historic Park on Saturday, March 30. It also helped to raise awareness and funds for the fight against hunger, benefiting the St. Joseph Center.

Chefs Jaime Martin del Campo and Ramiro Arvizu gave an entertaining demonstration of their cochinita pibil, complete with banana leaves and a habanero salsa made with real bitter orange they found at a little market at 42nd and Alameda.

There were oyster tacos from Macheen, platano maduro con todo from Honduras Kitchen, al pastor from Taqueria Vista Hermosa, Chihuahua Cerveza and plenty of tequila to go around among the dozens of vendors during the four-hour music performance by La Junta Sound System.
