DUI Crash on Grand Avenue Left One Fatality, Suspect Arrested

SACRAMENTO, CA (February 16, 2022) – A DUI crash on Norwood Avenue killed Sasi Kamleshwar Prasad and injured two others, Thursday night.

Officers responded to reports of a two-vehicle collision around 10:40 p.m., at the intersection of Grand and Norwood Avenue.

Furthermore, the Sacramento Police Department claimed that one of the drivers received critical injuries and died at the scene. Eventually, the authorities identified the deceased victim as 57-year-old Prasad from Sacramento.

Meanwhile, police booked 33-year-old Alantae Hemmingway to Sacramento County Jail for suspected DUI.

The reasons leading up to the fatal collision are unknown at this time, more information will be posted as it becomes available to the public.

Moreover, Hemmingway’s bail has been set at $250,000. Sacramento Officials continue to investigate the fatal DUI crash along Norwood Avenue.
