51-Year-Old Woman Pronounced Dead after Pickup-Truck Crash on Commerce Boulevard

ROHNERT PARK, CA (August 9, 2023) – Friday afternoon, Sarah King was killed in a bicycle collision on Commerce Boulevard. The incident happened around 12:40 p.m., in the 5700 block of Commerce Boulevard. Per reports, the driver of a Dodge Ram 1500 was heading north from a parking lot and struck a bicyclist who was heading south on the eastbound lanes. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced the female cyclist dead at the scene. Authorities later identified her as 51-year-old King, of Santa Rosa. Meanwhile, the driver of the van remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties.
