Songstress Sara Lov, formerly 50% of the Devics, has released a new video from her debut album, re-released on August 25th. For the song, “Fountain,” Lov tapped on LA-based pop-surrealist artist Seonna Hong to create the imaginative landscape of the video.

The construction paper cut out and pop up book aesthetic of the video, animated/directed by Berlin based Italian director Marco Morandi, is an evolution from her “moving picture book,” Animus.

Hong is no stranger to animation, she won an Emmy Award for background art for My Life as a Teenage Robot in 2003. Her works often juxtapose the innocence of youth with the wildness of nature, creating a world of delicate tension where peace and discord hold hands.
