Santos Fidel Thomas Pronounced Dead After Crash on Valencia Road and South Commerce Court [Tuscon, AZ]

TUSCON, Ariz. – A Chevy Tahoe struck and killed 43-year old Santos Fidel Thomas while heading east on Valencia Road and South Commerce Court.

The accident happened just before 9:00 p.m. on Friday, March 5th.

Thomas was crossing outside the crosswalk attempting to cross at Valencia Road. The 2018 Chevrolet Tahoe struck Thomas and the driver stopped after the collision. Upon arriving, first responders found Thomas in the roadway. Then, they transported Thomas to Banner Medical Center, where he later died.

The driver fully cooperated with the authorities. Officers determined that alcohol was not a factor in the accident.

The investigation remains ongoing and more information will be released as it becomes available.
