What's the most-romantic neighborhood in Los Angeles?

Los Feliz? Hollywood? Larchmont Village?

No: Angelenos prefer a beach with bustle.

Santa Monica ranked as the top spot across the board in the latest Match.com “L.A. Dating” survey:

About 44 percent of respondents said Santa Monica was the best place for a date and 43 percent said it was the place to be just to meet a future mate.

Santa Monica Pier ranked high as a “timeless” date venue, with 27 percent favoring it; only the Getty Museum ranked higher, with 33 percent going artsy.

The Grove was tops as one of the “hottest destinations” (28 percent chose it) followed by Malibu “beach” (25 percent).

Santa Barbara was the top destination among singles (45 percent) for weekend getaways.

Here comes the cheese:

The top choice in “sexiest” female professions for single men was model/actress (30 percent). Not to be outdone, the top man-vehicle choice for women who date was a Range Rover (38 percent).

At least women in L.A. have the good taste not to date guys who are unemployed: Only 17 percent of the ladies said they would do so.

Finally, L.A. singles (35 percent of you) ranked David and Victoria Beckham as our town's favorite celebrity couple.
