64-Year-Old Woman Dies in Car Accident on Rosecrans Avenue

GARDENA, CA (April 14, 2022) – Saturday evening, a hit-and-run on Avalon Boulevard claimed the life of 64-year-old Sandra Flowers.

The crash happened around 11:38 p.m. on Avalon Boulevard, just south of Rosecrans Avenue.

Per reports, the driver of a vehicle struck Flowers at an unknown rate of speed as she was walking eastbound on Avalon Boulevard. Upon impact, the driver fled the scene without rendering aid to the severely injured victim.

Medical personnel arrived and pronounced the female pedestrian dead at the scene.

The surrounding area was closed off for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties.
