Driver Ejected in Fatal Collision near Bailey Avenue in Santa Clara

SANTA CLARA, CA (October 29, 2021) – Early Sunday morning, a San Jose man was killed in a deadly car accident on Highway 101.

According to authorities, the crash happened around 2:15 a.m. Emergency crews arrived to the scene just north of Bailey Avenue shortly after.

Per reports, a southbound 2015 Nissan sedan overturned after colliding with a 2014 Honda. Although, the events leading up to the collision remain unclear.

As a result of the impact, the Nissan driver was ejected from the vehicle. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, they were later pronounced dead on scene.

Meanwhile, the Honda driver remained uninjured. Authorities have not yet released the identities of those involved in the accident.

The surrounding area was closed for a brief time during preliminary duties. However, the road has since reopened to traffic.

Santa Clara officials are still currently investigating the car accident on Highway 101.
