It may be hot outside, but the seats of hot pot eatery Boiling Point have been filled all summer long. The Taiwanese hot pot chain is grand opening their San Gabriel location today and launching a buy one get one free promotion from Aug. 24 to 26.

Located at Valley Blvd.'s Life Plaza Center, this is the company's largest location. “It has two floors, more than 130 seats, and the biggest store we have,” director of US Corporate Operation Calvin Chang told Squid Ink.

Things are already heating up. At 11 a.m. this morning when we called, Chang said that there were already 70-80 people lined up in front of the doors.

“It gets really busy,” he said. “But it's a really fun event and everyone comes out to have a good time.”

The fine print: Hot soups are dine-in only. Dinner prices will apply and the discount will be applied to the lower priced item. The snow flake ice special is for take out only and must be the same flavor purchased. All drinks are buy-1-get-1-free and also limited to the same flavor.

The promotion is only applicable to the San Gabriel location.
