Woman Fatally Struck on Imperial Avenue

SAN DIEGO, CA (July 5, 2022) – On Monday, police arrested Samantha Muniz after a fatal pedestrian crash on Imperial Avenue.

The incident took place in the 5300 block of Imperial Avenue around 2:46 p.m. on June 27th.

Furthermore, according to reports, Muniz and her neighbor were arguing before she hit the victim and knocked her unconscious on the road.

Eventually, responding paramedics arrived and transported the woman to a nearby hospital.

Later on, the victim was pronounced dead due to the extent of her injuries.

At this time, officials have not released the name of the deceased victim; however, Muniz has been arrested and charged with murder.

San Diego police are investigating the fatal accident and will release additional information as soon as it becomes available.
