Hit-and-Run Killed 51-year-old Woman, Salvador Pantoja Arrested

SAN JOSE, CA (December 20, 2021)Salvador Pantoja surrendered to authorities over a hit-and-run on Tully Road that killed a woman Monday evening.

Pantoja came forward three hours after the crash occurred on December 7 in the area of Tully and Quimby Roads, police said.

Initial investigation revealed that a man was headed east on Tully when he struck a woman who was outside of the crosswalk.

The 51-year-old woman, yet to identified pending notification of kin, died at the scene.

Meanwhile, the driver, later identified as 51-year-old Pantoja, fled.

Furthermore, police said drugs or alcohol did not appear to have influenced the crash.

As of this time, the investigation is still ongoing though charges are said to be in the process of filing.
