Fatal Car Crash near Shangri-La Drive
CANYON COUNTRY, CA (July 27, 2022) – Friday evening, a multi-car crash on Soledad Canyon Road claimed the life of Sallie June Hill.
The incident happened on July 22, at around 5:35 p.m. near the intersection of Soledad Canyon Road and Shangri-La Drive.
According to investigators, Hill suffered from a medical emergency while driving a Ford Explorer. She then lost control of her vehicle. The Explorer jumped the center divider and crossed the westbound lanes of traffic, colliding with at least four other vehicles, before hitting a bus terminal and coming to a stop.
Emergency responders arrived at the accident shortly after and rendered first aid. However, despite life-saving efforts, medics pronounced 50-year-old Hill of Palmdale dead at the scene.
At this time, it is unclear whether or not anyone else was hurt.
Canyon Country Officials continue to investigate the fatal Soledad Canyon Road crash.
