Hit-and-Run on Torrance Boulevard Left One Fatality

TORRANCE, CA (January 3, 2022) – CHP is investigating a hit-and-run on Hamilton Avenue that claimed the life of Ryoichi Kobayashi Sunday night.

According to reports from authorities, the collision occurred around 8:09 p.m. on the corner of South Hamilton Avenue and Torrance Boulevard.

At this time, CHP officials continue to investigate the incident.

Furthermore, according to the preliminary investigation, police claimed that a woman in a 2019 Toyota struck the victim.

Eventually, Torrance Officials identified the deceased victim as 63-year-old Ryoichi Kobayashi.

Meanwhile, authorities continue to search for the alleged hit-and-run suspect. Additionally, the police will update with more information when it becomes available.
