Hit-and-Run Crash near Washington Avenue Leaves Pedestrian Dead
LAS VEGAS, NV (July 13, 2023) – Early Monday morning, a hit-and-run pedestrian crash claimed the life of Ryan Stewart Ragonesi.
It happened on July 10th, just before 2:15 a.m., near the intersection of Nellis Boulevard and Washington Avenue.
According to reports, Ragonesi was walking in the area when a white 2019 Ford F-150 struck him. The Ford driver, 55-year-old Victor Morales, pulled over and waited for authorities to arrive.
While Ragonesi was down in the intersection, a second vehicle, described as a 2007-2014 white Cadillac Escalade struck him. The second vehicle fled the scene without rendering aid to the victim. Police are still on the lookout for the suspect.
Shortly after the collision, emergency crews at the site of the collision attempted life-saving measures on Ragonesi. However, 37-year-old Ryan Stewart Ragonesi was pronounced dead, due to the extent of his injuries.
Police urge any witnesses to the collision to call the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Collision Investigation Section at 702-828-3595.
