26-Year-Old Male Pedestrian Killed in Collision near West Glendale Avenue

PHOENIX, AZ (December 13, 2021) – Early Saturday, morning, Ryan Rapanot was killed in a hit-and-run crash on North 19th Avenue.

The crash happened around 12:30 a.m., near the intersection of 19th Avenue and Glendale Avenue. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after.

Officials suspect that Rapanot was walking in the road and was lying down when he was hit by a car. Upon impact, the driver of the car failed to stop and fled the site before police arrived.

Medics responded and pronounced 26-year-old Rapanot dead at the scene.

Additionally, police did not provide a description of the suspect vehicle. However, an active investigation is still currently underway.
