Multiple Dead after Fiery Big-Rig Collision near Chandler Boulevard

CHANDLER, AZ (January 18, 2023) – Wednesday morning, Ryan Gooding and 4 others were killed in a fiery semi-truck crash on Interstate 10.

Around 6:15 a.m., the chain-reaction collision occurred near Chandler Boulevard.

Police say the driver of a semi-truck struck two vehicles, causing one to become engulfed in flames. Medics arrived and pronounced five occupants inside the two vehicles dead at the scene.

The coroner’s office later identified one of the deceased victims as 37-year-old Gooding.

Following preliminary duties, police determined that the semi-truck hauling garbage was from Mr. Bult’s Inc., which is based in Illinois. Police say the company has been involved in 26 cases of car accidents in the last 2 years.

Police also stated that distracted driving was the cause of the crash and the driver failed to slow down, causing him to crash into multiple vehicles.

Per reports, Gooding now leaves behind his fiancé and a 9-year-old son. The loved ones of Gooding set up a GoFundMe account to help with costs during this difficult time.

No words can mend the broken hearts and sorrow felt during this delicate moment. Deepest condolences and sympathies are with the family and friends of Ryan Gooding and the other victims.
