There are only so many jokes you can make about Katy Perry, but the only worthwhile punchline anyone ever had was to marry her. Perry's ex Russell Brand is doing stand-up comedy again.  It's one of many recent appearances at Largo, so unless you really love topical humor, it's like a train. There'll be another one along in a little while. If, however, you're a big fan of remorseless self-examination about everything from hard drugs to sex addiction and other craven forms of animalistic excess, Brand is your sexual Tyrannosaurus of the moment. You go into seeing that kind of stand-up feeling an equal mixture of envy and superiority; at the end of it, you're laughing and chastened and giddy that his mortal problems are not your own — despite how much you enjoyed his frailties.
