Perhaps because restaurant life affords little to no time for Hollywood Blvd.-style shenanigans, this year Rush Street is bringing the funk of forty thousand years to Culver City. We're talking about a Thriller party, so elaborately themed that despite the film “13 Going on 30” and countless YouTube wedding videos having turned the 80's classic into something of a cliche, you simply won't be able to resist, the evil of–the Thriller!…Or so we've heard.

This Saturday, October 31, the red brick beer house will be transformed to look like the music video: a haunted patio deck graveyard and a house of horrors lounge; and though I don't remember a “Trick or Treat” poll room in the video, they're going to have one of those too. The night's themed drinks, which include “Bloody Red Beer” (Miller), caramel apple martinis, Mounds or Almond Joy shots, to name a few, are all priced between $5 and $7 each. There'll be bottle service, costume contests, and a live DJ spinning songs by the recently deceased pop icon throughout the night, which should be scary (or at least creepy), and then Thriller at midnight. And Rush Street is offering free group van service home for those who can't hold their Tootsie Roll shots.
