More L.A. runners are banding together to support the people of Beantown following last week's tragic bombings at the Boston Marathon.

Angeleno runners will participate in a nationwide series of #bostonstrong runs promoted on Twitter. The L.A version happens today:

Participants will gather at Rose Avenue and Ocean Front Walk in Venice at 6 p.m., according to organizers.

Merchandise, including t-shirts, will be sold to benefit One Fund Boston.

According to organizers, this is …

… a way for us to unite and do what we do best: run. A run for those that were unable to finish. A run for those that may never run again. A run for us to try and make sense of the tragedy that has forever changed something we love.

The pack will head north on the beach, and participants can go as far as they can or desire.
