Remember when we told you to go see Kreayshawn? Those shows are about to get a lot more crowded. The Oakland rapper who stormed the blogosphere less than a month ago with the video for her single “Gucci Gucci” has officially signed with Columbia Records.

Though rumors began to swirl before Memorial Day weekend that the 21-year-old had signed a million dollar deal with Sony, only this morning was a press release issued.

From Audible Treats:

Kreayshawn (Kray-shawn) has officially signed with Columbia Records, a division of Sony Music Entertainment. The 21 year-old will release “Gucci Gucci” via digital retailers on Tuesday, June 14th and prepare her forthcoming full-length debut album, due later this year. Released in mid-May, Kreayshawn's song “Gucci Gucci” became an instant viral hit, garnering over 200,000 views within the first 48 hours and over 2 million views just two weeks later. Within days of its premiere on The FADER.com, the song gained support from radio stations nationwide and publications worldwide such as MTV, LA Weekly, The Guardian, and Dazed & Confused Magazine.

Now, let's float a little rumor of our own:

Was Kreayshawn at a photo shoot in a downtown L.A. warehouse this past weekend for an upcoming LA Weekly feature?

Hmm.
